As from Thursday last week my outlook in my Microsoft PC does not sync. My wife's does on the same PC and it sync on my iPhone.
I get the following error messages:

Task '******@gmail.com - Sending' reported error (0x80070057) : 'Sorry, something went wrong. You may want to try again.'

Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for ******@gmail.com.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for ******@gmail.com. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

For error 0x80070057 - several people are reporting this error recently. Try deleting the Gmail entry from credential manager.

    Close Outlook.

Start typing credential manager on the start menu. When it comes up, open it. Look for an entry on the windows tab and remove it. It will be listed as

    MicrosoftOffice16_Data:OAUTH2:[code]_tp_google_imap_OAuth2

Expand each MicrosoftOffice16_Data:OAUTH2*_tp_g.... entry and click Remove.

If you still get the error, you need to remove the account from outlook, remove the entry from credential manager then add the account back. If you have calendar items or contacts in folders named “(This computer only)", you will need to export them before removing the account, otherwise they will be lost.
