    Hi!

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Can I get more details like, are you using Outlook desktop (application) or Outlook in a browser? What account are you referring to, is it Hotmail, Live, GMAIL, Yahoo, MSN, Outlook? Can you remember when was the last time that you accessed your email and where (office, home, school etc.)

In Outlook.com on the web, language changes do not delete email. The messages are almost certainly being hidden or moved. Use these checks in Outlook.com (web) to restore visibility:

    1. Check Junk Email
    • Open the Junk Email folder and look for the missing messages.
    • If messages are there, select one and choose Not junk > Not junk to move it back to Inbox.
    • On mobile apps or browser, go to Junk Email, select the message, then Move to Inbox or Mark as not junk.
    1. Check Filter settings
    • In your Inbox, select Filter above the message list.
    • Change it to All so no messages are hidden by filters like Unread or Flagged.
    • On Outlook mobile, clear any filter shown above the message list.
    1. Check Rules and Sweep
    • Go to Outlook.com Rules settings (Inbox rules/Sweep rules).
    • Look for any rule that moves or deletes incoming mail (for example, moving everything to another folder).
    • Edit or delete any incorrect rule.
    • Rules can only be viewed/edited from a computer browser.
    1. Check Archive folder
    • Open the Archive folder and see if the emails were moved there.
    • If found, select the messages and choose Move to > Inbox.
    • On mobile, open Archive, select the message, then Move to folder > Inbox.
    1. Check blocked senders
    • Sign in to Outlook.com, go to Settings > Mail/Options > Blocked senders or Block and allow.
    • If important senders or their domains are listed, remove them so future mail is delivered.
    1. Check recent sign-in activity / account status
    • If there is concern the account was compromised, go to the Recent activity page for the Microsoft account and review sign-ins.
    • Follow the guidance there if any suspicious activity is found.
    • If the Outlook.com mailbox was not signed into for a year, the mailbox and its email may have been deleted per the Microsoft Services Agreement.

If, after these checks, messages are still missing, use the Outlook.com in-product Help option to contact support while signed in so support can review the mailbox state.
