I am getting charged for Microsoft 365 personal annual subscription and I do not know which Microsoft account this is linked to. I have a charge on my credit card and the only info that it has is the order number.

This forum is just a user to user forum, no-one here has any account access, using any Microsoft account you may have, try using the steps they provide on this link to find out what that payment was for.

Then use the steps they provide on this link to cancel whatever that payment was for and get a refund.

If you are still unable to resolve that payment problem, you will need to contact Microsoft Support directly, try using this method to contact their support.

    Go to this link: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus

    Select Microsoft 365

    Click 'Get Home Support'.

In the box provided, type billing.

Press Enter, then on the next page, scroll down and click 'Sign in to Contact Support'.

Navigate to Microsoft 365 and Office - Manage my Subscription.

Select the 'Chat with support agent in web browser' option

Use the order/charge details to locate the subscription, then cancel or request a refund.

    1. Investigate the charge and find the account
      • Go to the Manage your payments page from your Microsoft account dashboard and select Investigate for the unrecognized charge: Manage your payments.
      • The investigation flow helps identify which Microsoft account and subscription the card and order number are associated with. This is the supported way to track down unrecognized Microsoft 365 subscription charges.
      • For more background on common causes of unexpected or unrecognized charges, see How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft.
    2. If the subscription is on a Microsoft account that can be accessed
      • Sign in to that account at Services & subscriptions and turn off recurring billing or cancel the Microsoft 365 Personal subscription.
      • If still being charged after cancellation, check whether the cancellation was done at least 2 days before the billing date and that the correct Microsoft account was used. Guidance is in Unable to cancel your Microsoft subscription.
    3. If the account cannot be accessed
      • If the subscription owner cannot sign in and account recovery is not possible, Microsoft support and community guidance indicate that cancellation directly through Microsoft is very difficult because of account security.
      • In that case, the practical option is to contact the card issuer/bank and dispute or block the recurring Microsoft 365 charge so future payments are stopped, as recommended in similar scenarios in the Microsoft Q&A references.
    4. Check refund eligibility
      • After locating the subscription and cancelling it, check if the charge is eligible for a refund using the steps in How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription. Not all cancellations result in a refund, but the self-help tool there will guide through the correct path.
    5. If more help is needed
      • If the charge still cannot be matched to an account or cancelled, contact Microsoft Support directly for billing assistance. Use the Contact Microsoft Support entry points referenced in the articles to reach a support agent (chat or callback) and provide the order number and card details so they can investigate.
