Getting verified on Bing Places for Business

I'd like to verify my business on Bing, and am getting nagged to do so, but it seems excessively difficult. I've gone through the process several times, and received several postcards, but each time the PIN had expired when I try to enter it. I thought this was because of possible postal delay over Xmas, but more recents attempts have resulted in nothing at all being received. Trying to contact Support through the site gets nowhere - it's "We’re sorry but support is currently unavailable. Please try again later" every time. I'm in Ireland.

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing your question. I understand how frustrating it is to be repeatedly prompted to verify your business on Bing Places while the postcards either arrive too late to use or never arrive at all. It makes sense that this feels excessive, especially when support channels aren’t responding and you’ve already tried multiple verification attempts.

Based on my knowledge, Bing Places only allows the verification methods that are available for your specific listing and region, and when postcard verification is the only option, it cannot be changed unless Bing Places explicitly enables an alternative such as phone or email for that business. When postcards fail to arrive or consistently expire, I recommend resubmitting the verification request and ensuring the business address exactly matches the official postal address. If repeated attempts still fail, the next supported step is to use the Bing Places support request options within the dashboard so the support team can review region‑specific issues or resend a new code.

Similar cases show that when verification postcards do not arrive after multiple attempts, Bing Places support may need to manually review the listing or enable an alternative verification flow, but this requires submitting the issue through their official contact form rather than chat, as chat availability can be limited and unreliable. I consistently recommend using the support form when postcard verification fails, especially after multiple expirations or delivery failures.

May I ask whether the address on your business listing exactly matches your postal address, and whether you have already submitted a support ticket through the Bing Places dashboard rather than trying the live chat option? If you can share that, I can help guide you through the most reliable next step so we can finally get your listing verified.

I’m here to assist further whenever you’re ready.

    I hope this helps.

    Best Regards,

    Noel
