I accidentally activate 365 (on my startup discount) for a false account. how do it undo redemption

Hi,

We activated our Microsoft 365 Business Premium benefit (through Microsoft for Startups) on the wrong account by mistake. The subscription is completely unused — no users added, no data created.

Can I somehow reverse the redemption so we can re-activate it on the right account?

    Unfortunately, once a Microsoft 365 Business Premium benefit from Microsoft Startups has been redeemed, it cannot be reversed, transferred, or re‑activated on another tenant. The redemption permanently associates the benefit with the tenant where it was initially claimed. This means Microsoft cannot “un‑redeem” or move the benefit to a different account or directory.

    Since you have mentioned that the subscription is unused, you can try to open a support ticket directly to Microsoft support via Microsoft Admin Center by following this article: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn. In case the benefit cannot be moved, you will need to continue using it in the tenant where it was redeemed.
