If the storage that is full is OneDrive, files must be deleted from OneDrive (including its Recycle Bin) or more storage must be purchased.

To delete files from OneDrive and free space:

1. Sign in to OneDrive on the web.
2. Select Storage used or Manage your OneDrive storage to see what is taking up space.
3. Sort by size and select large files or folders that are no longer needed, then delete them.
4. Open the Recycle Bin in OneDrive and select Empty your recycle bin so those deleted items no longer count against the storage quota.

If storage is still full, either:

• Delete more files and photos (including large items like videos), or
• Buy more OneDrive storage from the Upgrades section. After buying more storage, it can take up to 24 hours for the new quota to appear.

If OneDrive stays over its limit:

• New files cannot be uploaded, edited, or synced.
• Existing files remain but are read-only.
• If the account stays over quota for 6 months, OneDrive files may be deleted and cannot be recovered.

Also remember that OneDrive storage includes:

• All files and photos stored or synced to OneDrive (including Desktop, Documents, and Pictures if they are backed up to OneDrive).
• Items in the OneDrive Recycle Bin.
