Other features or issues related to Microsoft Partner Center
In Partner Center, a Properties section typically shows as incomplete when one or more required fields in that section (or a related subsection) are missing or invalid, even if they appear visually filled in. Focus on the specific Properties page for the product type being configured and verify all required subsections.
For MSI/EXE apps:
- Open the app submission and go to the Properties page.
- In Category, subcategory and secondary category:
- Ensure a Category is selected (this is required).
- If the chosen primary category has subcategories, ensure a subcategory is selected or intentionally left blank only where allowed.
- In Support info:
- Confirm required support details are present and valid, such as Privacy policy URL (if required for the app), website, and support contact info (for example, email, phone number, or address). Missing or malformed URLs can cause the section to be treated as incomplete.
- In Product declarations:
- Review any checkboxes that apply to the app and ensure any dependent fields are completed when a declaration is selected.
- In System requirements:
- Verify that required capabilities and minimum specs (for example, memory, DirectX, processor, graphics) are set where applicable.
- After correcting any missing or invalid entries, click Save again and check whether the Properties section now shows as complete.
For Microsoft Edge extensions:
- In Partner Center, open the extension and go to Properties and Store listings.
- Confirm that at least one language has a complete listing:
- Extension name is provided for at least one language and matches the manifest.
- Description is present for each language used and meets the length and clarity requirements.
- Extension logo is uploaded for each language used, with a valid size and aspect ratio.
- Click Save & Continue and verify that no validation messages remain.
For Xbox or game scenarios:
- On the game’s Properties page, open Basic Info and select Edit.
- Ensure the following are completed:
- Genre keywords and Primary genre.
- Contact and privacy: valid Privacy policy URL, Support contact info (email or URL), Website, and company address/phone.
- Player modes and associated features.
- Accessibility checkbox if applicable.
- Select Save and return and check for any notification banner at the top of the Properties page indicating input errors; correct those and save again.
If the section still shows as incomplete after verifying all required fields and fixing any validation errors, capture any error banner or field-level messages shown on the Properties page and contact Partner Center support with those details so they can check for a backend validation or account issue.
