Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

Please take a screenshot of the prompt you are receiving and upload it here. This will help us better understand the issue.

Meanwhile, please let us know if you have already tried using your Microsoft account password there. If it didn’t work, may I know if you are signed in with a local account or a personal Microsoft account on the device?

Is it asking for a Windows security username and password?

Go to Start > Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options > Password and try changing your password there.

    See if that helps.

Follow these steps depending on which account password is needed.

    1. If this is a personal Microsoft account (Outlook/Hotmail/Live)

    1. Go to the Recover your account page: https://account.live.com/password/reset
    2. Enter the email address, phone number, or Skype name used to sign in.
    3. Choose where to receive the security code and select Next.
    4. Enter the requested info and select Send code.
    5. Type the security code, select Next.
    6. Enter a New password, then re-enter it and finish.

    Tips from the sign-in help:

    • Make sure the email domain is correct (for example, .com vs .co.uk).
    • Check for spelling differences in the name part (for example, rachel vs rachael).
    • If one alias is not recognized, try another email alias or phone number on the account.

If the account still cannot be found, use the Contact support option on that page to get help from Microsoft support.

    2. If this is a work or school Microsoft 365 account

    Know username but forgot password

Can still sign in somewhere because password is saved

If already signed in on another device or browser (for example, where exporting from PowerPoint is working):

    1. Open the Microsoft 365 admin center if an admin, or the account portal if not.
    2. Go to the account profile (View account).
    3. Confirm alternate email and mobile phone are correct.
    4. Sign out, then sign in again and choose Forgot password.
    5. Use the wizard to reset the password using alternate contact info.

If unable to sign in at all and this is an admin account, another global admin must reset the password, or contact Microsoft Support.

After resetting the password, retry the export in PowerPoint and sign in with the updated credentials when prompted.
