    Hi Hector,

Many users are reporting this issue. For most of them, clearing the Credentials and one other step is helping.

    https://www.yourwindowsguide.com/2026/03/gmail-not-working-in-outlook.html

    • Press Windows + S, type Credential Manager, and open it.
    • Click Windows Credentials.
    • Scroll to Generic Credentials.
    • Find entries starting with MicrosoftOffice16_Data:OAUTH2.
    • Expand each entry.
    • Hover over MicrosoftOffice16_Data:OAUTH2 to see the full name containing tp_google_imap_Oauth2 (these are Gmail credentials).
    • Click Remove for each MicrosoftOffice16_Data:OAUTH2 entry.
    • Remove both credentials for the affected Gmail account.
    • Optional: To identify the correct Gmail account before deleting:
      • Open Registry Editor.
      • Paste this path in the address bar: Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Common\Identity\Identities
      • Check the Identity subkeys.
      • The number at the beginning of the identity key matches the number in the MicrosoftOffice16_Data credential.
    • After removing the credentials:
      • Open Outlook.
      • Go to the affected profile.
      • Click Sign in via browser in the Outlook notification bar.
      • Sign in to your Gmail account again.

Remove access for Microsoft Apps & Services in Gmail (Fix Gmail in Outlook Sync)

    • Close Outlook.
    • Go to google.com and sign in to your Google account.
    • Click your profile picture in the top-right corner.
    • Select Manage your Google Account.
    • From the left menu, click Security.
    • Scroll to Your connections to third-party apps & services.
    • Select Microsoft apps & services.
    • Find Microsoft apps & services has some access to your Google Account.
    • Click See details.
    • Under Access you’ve given to Microsoft apps & services, click Remove all access. This should reset the Gmail in Outlook sync, and you can try again.
    • Select Confirm.

I hope this information helps. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Error 0x800CCC0E in classic Outlook with Gmail accounts is typically a connection/authentication problem with the Gmail IMAP connection. For Gmail in classic Outlook, use the following steps that are specifically called out for similar errors and Gmail issues:

    1. Confirm IMAP is enabled in Gmail
      1. In a browser, go to Gmail.com and sign in.
      2. Select Settings (gear icon) > See all settings.
      3. Go to Forwarding and POP/IMAP.
      4. Under IMAP access, select Enable IMAP.
      5. Select Save Changes.
    2. Verify Gmail server settings in Outlook For each Gmail account in classic Outlook, verify the IMAP/SMTP settings match:
      • Incoming mail (IMAP) server: imap.gmail.com
        • Requires SSL: Yes
        • Port: 993
      • Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: smtp.gmail.com
        • Requires SSL: Yes
        • Requires TLS: Yes (if available)
        • Requires Authentication: Yes
        • Port for SSL: 465
        • Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587
      • Account name/username: full Gmail address
      • Password: current Gmail password or app password (if using one)
    3. Fix the recent Gmail/Outlook Classic auth issue (permissions) Recent Gmail issues in classic Outlook occur when the Google consent screen option is not fully granted. If Outlook shows Gmail-related connection errors:
      • Make sure Outlook is updated to a build that includes the Gmail fix (for example, Current Channel Version 2412 Build 18324.20168 or later).
      • If Outlook shows a Gmail error window with a Retry link, select Retry and, in the browser sign-in, ensure the box is checked for: “Read, compose, send, and permanently delete all your email from Gmail.”
      • Complete the sign-in and allow access.
    4. If Retry does not work: remove old Google auth and credentials Follow the manual workaround for each affected Gmail account: Step 1 – Remove access for Microsoft apps & services in Gmail
      1. Close Outlook.
      2. Sign in to the Google account at google.com.
      3. Select the profile picture > Manage your Google Account.
      4. Select Security.
      5. Under Your connections to third-party apps & services, select Microsoft apps & services.
      6. Under Access you've given to Microsoft apps & services, select Remove all access and confirm.
Step 2 – Delete Google IMAP credentials from Windows Credential Manager
      1. Open Credential Manager from the Windows Start menu (or via Control Panel on Windows 10).
      2. Select Windows Credentials.
      3. Under Generic Credentials, locate entries starting with MicrosoftOffice16_Data:OAUTH2.
      4. Expand each and hover over the name until seeing tp_google_imap_Oauth2; these are the Gmail credentials.
      5. Select Remove for each Gmail-related MicrosoftOffice16_Data:OAUTH2 entry (two per Gmail account).
      6. Close Credential Manager.
      7. Reopen Outlook and let it prompt for Gmail sign-in in the browser; again, ensure the Gmail consent screen option is fully granted.
    5. If Outlook never prompts for a password When adding Gmail as IMAP and Outlook does not ask for a password:
      1. On the IMAP details page, ensure Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is unchecked.
      2. If still failing, add the account from Control Panel:
        • Open Control Panel > Mail > Email Accounts….
        • Select New and enter name, Gmail address, and password.
        • Select Next and complete the setup.
    6. General 0x800CCC0E troubleshooting for send/receive Error 0x800CCC0E is listed among connection errors that can be addressed with the standard Outlook connectivity steps:
      • Confirm internet connectivity.
      • Temporarily disable email-scanning features in antivirus software (or contact the antivirus help desk) if they interfere with connections.
      • If the profile appears corrupted, repair or recreate the Outlook profile using the profile repair guidance.

If all Gmail accounts fail with 0x800CCC0E, focus first on steps 3 and 4 (Google permissions + Credential Manager cleanup) and step 1 (IMAP enabled), as these directly address recent Gmail/Outlook Classic connection failures.
