Hi i have bought new samsung book5 laptop at croma retail showroom.

i am trying to claim office home and student 2024 version which comes with this laptop preloaded.

i am in store only ,store team cant able to help .

past 7 days i am struggling with this .

kindly resolve right away...

Hi,

You should see the Microsoft Office 2024 claim in the Microsoft Store.

Open the Microsoft Store.

Click Library.

Click Included with device.

In case it does not appear here, you must contact Samsung support, as they give a customized version of Office with the Laptop. They can only provide the keycode for it.

Follow these steps on the new Samsung Book5 to claim and activate the preloaded Office Home & Student 2024:

1. Confirm Windows is activated
   1. On the taskbar, in the Type here to search box, type Activation.
   2. Select Activation or See if Windows is activated.
   3. Under Windows activation, confirm it shows Windows is activated.
   4. If it is not activated, connect to the Internet and wait until it shows as activated before trying Office again. In some cases this can take up to about 30 minutes after first connecting.
2. Start a preinstalled Office app
   1. From Start, open Word, Excel, or PowerPoint that came preinstalled on the laptop.
   2. If a dialog appears offering to Try, Buy, or Activate Office, choose the option that corresponds to using the included Office (do not select a Microsoft 365 trial if the goal is to use the one-time Office Home & Student 2024 license).
3. Check for trial/expired subscription messages If the device was shipped with a 3‑month Microsoft 365 trial before the Office 2024 entitlement:
   1. When Your Microsoft 365 subscription has expired appears, select No, thanks and close that dialog.
   2. Go to Account on the left side of the app window and confirm that the product shows as expired.
   3. Go back to Home → select Blank document.
   4. Look for a yellow notification bar recommending an Office 2024 offer and select Claim.
4. If no claim banner appears
   1. Make sure any Microsoft 365 trial has actually expired (the app must show Your subscription has expired and be deactivated except for viewing/printing).

5. If activation still fails with setup/activation errors If messages such as “Sorry, we couldn't set up Office. Check that your device is connected to the Internet and Windows is activated before trying again. Error code 0xc004f200.” appear:
   1. Confirm again that Windows shows Windows is activated as in step 1.
   2. Close all Office apps, wait a short time after Windows activation completes, then reopen Word/Excel and follow the prompts to activate.
6. When none of the above works The preloaded entitlement and account binding may require direct support intervention. In that case, contact Microsoft Support from the laptop so support can:
   • Verify the OEM entitlement for Office Home & Student 2024 tied to the device.
   • Help complete activation if the claim flow or banner is not appearing as expected.
