Hello Microsoft Learn Support Team,

I have recently changed companies and no longer have access to my previous corporate account. I need to merge my Microsoft Learn profiles so that all my certifications, badges, and learning achievements are associated with my new corporate account.

Here are the details required for the process:

Old account (no access):

  • Email: ******@tw-group.com
  • MCID: not known

New account (current):

  • Email: ******@abclogistic.es
  • MCID: not yet available

Request: Please proceed with a profile merge, ensuring that all my certifications, badges, and learning history remain under a single Learn profile accessible through my current account.

I cannot use the “Add login” option because I no longer have access to my previous corporate account.

I remain at your disposal for any additional verification you may require.

Thank you very much in advance,

Andrés Luquin.

It is not possible to transfer certifications between Learn profiles. You can link and merge Learn profiles but this requires that you have access to all the email accounts involved. You need to request that your previous employer reactivates your Entra Id account.

To prevent this from happening in future, add a personal MSA account to your Learn profile.

A profile merge can be done without signing in to the old corporate account, as long as only one of the profiles has a personal Microsoft login account.

Key points about Microsoft Learn profile merges:

    1. When two profiles are merged, all learning progress, credentials, transcripts, and certification data from both profiles are combined into a single Learn profile. This includes certifications, badges, and learning achievements.
    2. After the merge, it remains possible to sign in with all login accounts that were associated with both profiles.
    3. Merging profile data cannot be undone.
    4. If adding a login account that is already associated with a different Learn profile, this automatically triggers a profile merge.

Because access to the old corporate account is lost, direct self-service merge via Add login account is not possible in this case. To resolve issues involving old certification IDs (such as legacy MCID) or account access problems, and to request assistance with consolidating certification data, support must be contacted directly through the certification support channel.

    Use this path:

    1. Go to the Certification Support help page: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/support/help
    2. Open a support request and provide:
      • Full name
      • Old corporate email domain (tw-group.com)
      • New corporate email domain (abclogistic.es)
      • Description that access to the old account is lost and a profile/certification data merge is needed
      • Any exam IDs, dates, or certification names that can help locate the records

Support can then investigate the old profile and assist with merging or re-associating certification data to the Learn profile that is accessible with the current account.
