Follow these steps to resolve the missing AZ-900 certificate issue:
- Confirm the certification was actually earned
- AZ-900 (Microsoft Azure Fundamentals) requires passing the AZ-900 exam to generate the certification certificate.
- Review the exam details for Azure Fundamentals to ensure the correct exam was passed for this certification: see How to earn the certification in the AZ-900 study guide.
- Verify you are using the correct Learn profile
- It is common to have multiple Microsoft accounts (personal, work, or school) and accidentally sign in with the wrong one.
- Sign out of Microsoft Learn completely.
- Sign back in using any other Microsoft accounts that might have been used to register for or take the exam.
- After signing in, go to the profile → Credentials → Certifications and check whether AZ-900 appears.
- Check the email account that received the exam “Congratulations” email; that email’s profile link indicates which Learn profile holds the certification.
- Check for known limitations
- If the exam was taken through Certiport, note that exams and certifications earned via Certiport are not currently reflected in the Microsoft Learn profile. These must be managed and shared from the Certiport account instead.
- Some legacy certifications no longer appear in Learn profiles, but AZ-900 is a current certification, so this should not apply.
- Access the certificate correctly
- Once the certification is visible in the correct profile, access certificates via the Certification Dashboard as described in Access your certificates, badges, and transcript.
- From the Certification Dashboard, use “View Certificates” to download or preview the AZ-900 certificate.
- If the certificate or exam is still missing
- If AZ-900 still does not appear under Certifications after checking all possible accounts and confirming the exam passed, contact Microsoft Credentials Support so they can review the credential on the backend.
- Submit a support request as follows:
- Go to the online support request page:
https://www.aka.ms/credentialssupport. - Ensure Product family is set to Learning and Product or Service is Microsoft Credentials.
- Choose the category that best matches “missing certification” or similar.
- For Types of Support, select Professional No Charge.
- Enter location and time zone and select Email as the contact method.
- In the description, include:
- A clear summary (for example, “AZ-900 certification missing from Learn profile”).
- Learn username (from Learn Settings).
- Exam date and exam ID (AZ-900).
- Screenshots of the Learn Credentials page and any exam confirmation/score report.
- Submit the case and monitor email for responses; support operates during business hours and will follow up via email.
- Go to the online support request page:
If the certification is confirmed as earned and associated with the correct profile, Credentials Support is the channel that can fix missing certificates or profile linkage issues.
