I'm using Version 1.2026.225.400. Is it possible to edit the email subject on received emails for better organization. I do not mean when replying to an email, but just editing a subject to be more concise/meaningful?

Editing the subject of a received message is supported in classic Outlook for Windows, but this capability is not documented for Outlook on the web. The available guidance for editing received message subjects applies to the desktop Outlook client only.

In Outlook for Windows, the subject of a received message can be edited by:

    1. Double-clicking the message to open it in its own window (not in the Reading Pane).
    2. Clicking into the subject line so the cursor appears, then pressing Ctrl + A to select it.
    3. Typing the new subject.
    4. Clicking the Save icon in the top-left of the message window and closing the message.

Note that even after changing the subject, Outlook may still group messages by the original conversation topic in the message list unless the view is customized.
