    Hi @Lotte Borch

Thank you very much for providing these details, as they help clarify why you are currently unable to see your subscription when signing in.

From what you described, your Microsoft 365 subscription was purchased using your personal Microsoft account associated with your Gmail address, while your business domain has not yet been set up as a Microsoft 365 work or school account.

This situation can be confusing because Microsoft uses two different types of accounts. When Microsoft 365 is purchased using a personal Microsoft account, such as one signed in with a Gmail address, the subscription and invoices are linked directly to that personal account and are managed by you individually. In this case, when you sign in to portal.office.com or account.microsoft.com, you will only see subscriptions that were purchased under that specific personal login, which is likely where your Microsoft 365 Business subscription is currently billed.

On the other hand, a work or school account is associated with your business domain, such as ******@yourcompanyname.onmicrosoft.com or name@yourcustomdomain, and this account is created only after Microsoft 365 Business has been set up for your organization, your domain has been verified, and user profiles have been created in the Microsoft 365 admin center. At the moment, it appears that your domain has not been configured as a Microsoft 365 organization, which means that signing in with username@yourdomain does not show a profile because the account technically does not exist yet.

As a result, your subscription and invoices currently belong to your Gmail Microsoft account, while you are attempting to sign in using your business email address that is not connected to the subscription. This is why no plan appears when you log in with your business address.

To make any changes to your subscription, including switching your billing cycle from monthly to yearly or adding Microsoft Copilot for your work or school account, you will need to sign in using your Microsoft work or school account to performe this action:

    • Sign in to https://admin.microsoft.com using your Gmail Microsoft Account.
    • Go to Billing > Your products.
    • Select your Microsoft 365 Business subscription.
    • Choose Change billing frequency > switch from Monthly to Yearly.
    • To add Microsoft Copilot, go to:  Billing > Purchase services
    • Search for Copilot for Microsoft 365 and complete the purchase.
    • Assign the Copilot license to your user after purchase.

If these options are not available or cannot be completed from your side, the next recommended step is to contact Microsoft Billing Support so they can review the subscription and assist you with changing the billing cycle or adding Copilot as needed.

Moreover, if you cannot sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center, please contact Microsoft Support via phone number: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support - Select your country/region own phone number for support.

Furthermore, if the subscription is a personal Microsoft account that uses an email address as the sign in If your subscription is tied to a personal Microsoft account instead of a work or school tenant, the management experience is different and you will need to contact Microsoft Support through the Microsoft 365 Customer Service and Support to be routed to the right team for account and billing assistance.

Billing and subscriptions are always tied to a specific account, and different email addresses mean different accounts and profiles. Accounts and subscriptions cannot be merged.

To understand and change the subscription and billing:

    1. Identify which account has the Microsoft 365 Business subscription
      • Go to the Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services
      • Sign in first with the gmail.com address that receives the invoices.
      • If the subscription was purchased with that account, it will appear there and you can manage it (change from monthly to annual, add Copilot, view invoices, etc.).
      • If nothing appears, sign out and repeat the same step with each of the other addresses until the subscription is found.
    2. If the subscription is a Microsoft 365 for business tenant
      • The subscription may be under a work/school account in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
      • If that is the case, an admin in that tenant must manage licenses and billing. If there is only one admin and access is lost, contact Microsoft support as admin of that tenant.
    3. If there are multiple Microsoft accounts
      • It is possible to have more than one Microsoft account (for example, one with a Gmail sign-in and another with a work domain). These cannot be combined.
      • If desired, the Gmail address can be added as an alias to another Microsoft account, but purchases and data from the original account will not move with it.
    4. To see where the subscription was purchased and invoices
      • Once the correct account is signed in at Services & subscriptions, select Manage on the Microsoft 365 subscription.
      • If it was bought directly from Microsoft, options to manage billing and view invoices will be available there.
      • If it was bought through a third-party retailer or partner, the Manage button will redirect to that provider’s site, where billing documents are handled.

If the subscription or invoices still cannot be located after checking all possible accounts, contact Microsoft small business/billing support and provide the billing email address and any invoice details so they can look up the subscription on the backend.
