My Full Name Displayed in Q&A

Question

How do I delete or change a Q&A submitted comment? It shows my full name. I feel uncomfortable about that. Can it be changed or deleted?

The display name shown on Microsoft Q&A comes from the Microsoft Learn profile. The comment itself cannot be edited or deleted by the author, but the profile name can be changed, and unwanted content can be reported for moderator action.

To change the name that appears:

1. Open the Microsoft Learn profile.
2. Select the profile icon in the top-right corner.
3. Select Settings.
4. Under Personal info, username, and URL, change the display name.
5. Select Save.

This updates the name shown on the public profile and on contributions such as Q&A posts going forward.

If a specific Q&A post or comment needs to be removed and self-deletion is not available, it must be handled by a moderator. Non-moderators cannot delete their own content; instead, the content can be reported so a moderator can review and delete it if appropriate.

Key limitations for Q&A content:

• Authors cannot delete their own questions, answers, or comments.
• Deleted questions do not appear in question or tag lists.
• Non-moderators cannot see any indication of deleted answers or comments.
