Hi Enrique Zapata,
Thanks for reaching out and explaining the situation in detail. I understand how confusing it can be when one phone behaves differently from another in Phone Link, especially after re‑pairing.
When you see different behavior between two phones, it’s usually due to:
- Differences in Android OS versions
- Manufacturer‑specific restrictions (for example, Samsung vs. non‑Samsung devices)
- How permissions or battery optimization are handled on the phone
Phone Link cannot override how each phone’s operating system exposes call and message data.
Please make sure you’ve already tried the Q&A Assist suggestions. In addition, please try the steps below. Note that the setting names may vary slightly depending on your device, but they are generally similar across Android phones.
Confirm required permissions
- On your phone, open Settings > Apps > Link to Windows
- Ensure Calls, SMS, and Contacts permissions are allowed
Disable battery optimization
- Go to Settings > Apps > Link to Windows > Battery
- Set it to Unrestricted or Don’t optimize
