    Hi Enrique Zapata,

Thanks for reaching out and explaining the situation in detail. I understand how confusing it can be when one phone behaves differently from another in Phone Link, especially after re‑pairing.

When you see different behavior between two phones, it’s usually due to:

    • Differences in Android OS versions
    • Manufacturer‑specific restrictions (for example, Samsung vs. non‑Samsung devices)
    • How permissions or battery optimization are handled on the phone

Phone Link cannot override how each phone’s operating system exposes call and message data.

Please make sure you’ve already tried the Q&A Assist suggestions. In addition, please try the steps below. Note that the setting names may vary slightly depending on your device, but they are generally similar across Android phones.

    Confirm required permissions

    • On your phone, open Settings > Apps > Link to Windows
    • Ensure Calls, SMS, and Contacts permissions are allowed

    Disable battery optimization

    • Go to Settings > Apps > Link to Windows > Battery
    • Set it to Unrestricted or Don’t optimize

Phone Link does not support managing or deleting calls and texts from the PC side; it only mirrors recent call history and messages from the connected phone and has some functional limits.

    For calls specifically:

    • Phone Link shows recent calls from the last 90 days.
    • Recent calls cannot be managed or deleted from the PC.

    This means:

    • Deleting calls on the phone will not let Phone Link delete or manage those entries on the PC; the PC view is limited and not a full two‑way sync.
    • Behavior can differ between devices depending on how each phone’s OS and permissions expose call and message data to Phone Link.

To troubleshoot inconsistent behavior on the problematic phone:

    1. Confirm all required permissions are granted on that phone for Link to Windows/Phone Link (especially calls, contacts, and messages where applicable).
    2. Make sure battery optimization is not restricting Link to Windows on that device, as this can interrupt or partially break the connection and syncing:
      • Open Android Settings > Apps & notifications (or Apps) > App info > Link to Windows > Advanced > Battery > Manage Battery Usage > Battery optimization, and set it to “Don’t optimize”.
      • On some devices: Settings > Apps > Link to Windows > Service > Battery > Optimize battery usage > choose “All”, find Link to Windows, and turn the toggle Off.
    3. Remove and re‑add the problematic phone completely across all places:
      • In Phone Link on the PC: Settings -> Devices and remove that device.
      • In Windows Settings: Bluetooth & devices -> Mobile devices -> Manage devices, remove it if listed.
      • In Windows Settings: Bluetooth & devices -> Bluetooth & other devices, remove any Bluetooth pairing entries for that phone.
      • On the phone: in Bluetooth settings, “Forget” the PC.
      • Then set up Phone Link again for that phone.

If, after this, one phone still behaves differently, it is likely due to device‑specific limitations or how that phone’s OS exposes call/message data; Phone Link cannot override those or provide full delete/sync parity.
