Microsoft support and community forums cannot look up which Microsoft account is associated with a charge on a card.
To track down the account and cancel the subscription, use these steps:
- Investigate the charge online
- Go to the Manage your payments page of the Microsoft account dashboard and select Investigate for the unrecognized charge: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2246882
- This flow helps identify common causes such as:
- An Xbox/Game Pass or other Microsoft subscription with recurring billing enabled.
- Purchases made by a family member using the same card.
- A previously declined charge that was processed later.
- Check all possible Microsoft accounts
- Sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services with every email address that might have been used.
- Under Services & subscriptions, look for any Xbox Game Pass or other subscriptions with recurring billing turned on.
- When the correct subscription is found, select Manage and then Cancel subscription or Turn off recurring billing as described in the subscription management article.
- If the account cannot be found
- Use the troubleshooter linked in the billing investigation article to understand why the charge occurred: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2168473
- If the charge still cannot be matched to any Microsoft account, contact Microsoft Support via the paths described in the Q&A answers, or contact the card issuer to dispute the charge as potentially unauthorized.
Microsoft personnel cannot cancel a subscription or disclose account details without the account owner being able to access the account.
