Good day Danielle M Johnson
“Work account” and your “guest account” as two separate identities, even if they share the same email address. That’s why you’re not seeing your Pro license carry over when you log into the guest tenant ,it’s tied to your home tenant only. The guest access basically lets you collaborate in another tenant, but it doesn’t merge licenses across tenants.
You can absolutely access the guest tenant from your work account, but you’ll still be seen as a guest there. That means your Pro license from your home tenant won’t automatically apply. If the other tenant wants you to have Pro features, they’d need to assign you a Pro license in their tenant as well. There’s no way to “transfer” or “share” your existing license across tenants it’s a per‑tenant entitlement.
From a practical standpoint, you’ll want to use the tenant switcher in Power BI service (top right corner of the portal) to hop between your home tenant and the guest tenant. Just keep in mind: when you’re in the guest tenant, you’re operating under whatever license that tenant has given you. If they haven’t assigned you Pro, you’ll be limited to free features there.
So short answer: you can connect and collaborate as a guest, but your Pro license doesn’t follow you into another tenant. If you need Pro capabilities in that guest tenant, the admin there will need to assign you one.
If this clears things up, please hit "Accept the answer" so that it could be spread further to those in need too. If not, is there anything I can help you with? Please let me know.
