Server side email recovery after Outlook account compromised

Hello, I need assistance with recovering emails that were permanently deleted from my Outlook.com account after it was compromised. I have already secured the account, changed my password, removed any malicious rules, and enabled two‑factor authentication.

I have also recovered everything available through Deleted Items and the “Recover items deleted from this folder” option. However, many emails are still missing, so it appears they were purged by the attacker.

I want to request a mailbox restore or server‑side data recovery from any available backups or snapshots so I need Microsoft to check whether the missing messages can be restored from the server but it is proving impossible to reach the Outlook Support Team from the Support website and it is this unreachable team who are the only ones that can help.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi. I'm Brian and I'll try to help.

Keep in mind that these are peer-to-peer forums. We're users here, trying to help each other. We don't have access to the Microsoft servers.

Mail that is permanently deleted cannot be recovered. Microsoft does not make backups of mailboxes in a way that allows restoration of permanently deleted data. Backup of a mailbox rests on the mailbox owner.
