Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Dear @Neida Gonzales,
Welcome to Q&A forum. I understand you're having trouble accessing your Microsoft 365 Business Standard subscription, even though you’ve received the original setup email and completed your purchase online. You're unable to log in, and the support phone lines have directed you to aka.ms/mac365, which hasn’t resolved the issue.
To better understand your situation, could you please help confirm the following:
Did you create a new admin account during setup (e.g., something like ******@yourcompany.onmicrosoft.com)?
Are you trying to sign in at https://admin.microsoft.com or another Microsoft site?
Have you tried resetting your password or recovering your username using Microsoft’s self-service tools?
Are you using a personal Microsoft account (e.g., @outlook.com, @hotmail.com) or a work/school account?
Have you previously used this subscription successfully, or is this your first time trying to access it?
Where exactly do you see the error (Office.com, Admin Center, a link from the purchase email, or another page)? Please copy/paste the page URL if possible.
Does it work in an InPrivate/Incognito window?
In the meantime, please try the steps below:
1/ Open a private/incognito browser window.
2/ Go to https://admin.microsoft.com (this is the Microsoft 365 Admin Center).
3/ Sign in using the email address from your original setup email. This is your Microsoft 365 admin account.
If the steps above don’t work, it’s possible that your Microsoft 365 account wasn’t fully set up during purchase. In that case, I recommend contacting Microsoft 365 Business Support directly the Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support.
Please note that depending on your country or region, for some countries, when calling the support number, although there are about 30 seconds opening as something "you can visit the link...." But you can ignore this opening and wait until the option, then "1" as a business email user, "1" again for technical help.
During the phone call, you will be required to provide the information associated with your subscription - such as your company name, billing details, phone number, and alternate email address - to verify ownership of the company’s tenant. This verification will assist the Data Protection Team in granting you access to the administrator account.
Please carefully follow this instruction to ask for Microsoft Data Protection team support:
- For some countries, it will be an automated conversation like:
- First, when you call the hotline, it asks what kind of problem you are worried about.
- Answered: Account
- A: What kind of product are you using?
- B: Office 365 for business.
- A confirmation: education or company account?
- B: For companies
- A: Are you an administrator?
- B: Yes.
- A: Do you have the other admin in your organization?
- B: No.
- A: You need one.... Service request?
- B: Yes
Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
I truly appreciate your patience and understanding. If you have any further questions or need further clarification, please feel free to reach out. I'm looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for your cooperation.
