How do I fix my youtube on my dell laptop, it keeps saying no wifi but im fully connected to wifi

    I understand how inconvenient this can be, especially when your Dell laptop shows that it is connected to Wi‑Fi, but YouTube still says there is no connection. At this point, I recommend that you review and try the steps provided in the Independent Advisor’s answer on your thread. That reply typically include the most relevant checks for this scenario. 

    To help narrow this down, could you please confirm the following: 

    • Are you opening YouTube in a web browser such as Microsoft Edge or through a separate app on Windows? 
    • Do you see the Wi‑Fi icon as Connected, or does Windows show No Internet under the network name? 
    • Are you currently using a VPN or a proxy on the laptop? Windows provides a Proxy page under Settings > Network & Internet > Proxy where this can be checked.  
    • If possible, could you also test whether YouTube works when the laptop is connected to a different network, such as a mobile hotspot?  

    In the meantime, please try the steps below: 

    1. Check the network status in Windows 
    • Please confirm that your Wi‑Fi network shows Connected in Windows. If the status is different, select the Wi‑Fi network again and reconnect.  
    1. Run the Windows Network troubleshooter 
    • If you are using Windows 11, please run the Network and Internet troubleshooter from the Get Help app / troubleshooting options and follow the on-screen steps.  
    1. Forget the Wi‑Fi network and reconnect 
    • Please go to your saved Wi‑Fi networks, select the current network, choose Forget, then reconnect and enter the password again.  
    1. Check whether a VPN or Proxy is enabled 
    • If a VPN is connected, please disconnect it temporarily and test again.  
    • Also, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Proxy and check whether a manual proxy is turned on; if it is enabled unexpectedly, please turn it off for testing. 
    1. Run the network reset commands 
    • Please open Command Prompt as Administrator and run the following commands one by one: netsh winsock resetnetsh int ip resetipconfig /releaseipconfig /renew and ipconfig /flushdns 
    • After that, please restart the laptop and test YouTube again.

    May I ask if you have tried Youtube on a different browser like Chrome, Firefox? Does your other pages work properly?

    Also, may I ask what is the model of your Dell laptop? Press Windows + R, type msinfo32, and hit Enter.
