Resizing a PowerPoint slide inserted into a table in Word

I have created a handout in Word from PowerPoint by using the export function then the create handout in Microsoft Word function.

The slides in Word are contained in a table. I would like to resize each slide, but I am unable to find any way to do this except to drag the corner of each slide.

Is there any other way to resize a slide (object) which is contained in a table cell, and is there some way to resize multiple slides together?

Thank you and take care,

David

It's possible to resize the slide images with a VBA macro. The macro code would vary depending on the Word layout that you choose when exporting. You could try generating a VBA macro with AI, or you can post a sample file to a cloud service, then post a password-free share link here and I'll try to generate a macro for you.

Word treats each slide in the exported handout as an embedded PowerPoint object inside a table cell. In the provided information, resizing of objects inside Word tables is only described via manual dragging; there is no documented method to:

    • Enter an exact size for multiple embedded PowerPoint slide objects at once, or
    • Batch-resize several slide objects together using a built-in command.

For tables themselves, Word and PowerPoint support numeric height/width changes, but this applies to table rows/columns, not to the embedded slide objects. The available guidance for PowerPoint objects in Word only covers inserting and activating them, not bulk resizing.

So, based on the available documentation, resizing by dragging each slide’s corner is the only supported method described for slide objects inside table cells, and there is no documented way to resize multiple such slide objects simultaneously.
