I have multiple 365 accounts and the complementary account for my nonprofit association is the only one I need. I'm being billed $13.13/m for some 365 account I don't need.

Hi, A $13.13 charge from Microsoft likely indicates a monthly subscription, such as Microsoft 365 or Xbox, often with tax included. To resolve, check your account order history or use the Microsoft investigative tool for unauthorized charges. If not found, it may be a shared family account or fraudulent, requiring a bank dispute. Dear @Sheahan, Timothy,

I understand how frustrating it is to be charged for an account you don’t need, especially when you already have a nonprofit Microsoft 365 account that meets your needs.

To help identify exactly which account the charge is coming from, could you please clarify a few details for us?

1/ Have you checked the Subscriptions page at https://account.microsoft.com/services, while signed in with each Microsoft account you may have (personal Outlook/Hotmail/Live), or sign in with your work/school account at https://portal.office.com/account/?ref=Harmony#subscriptions?

2/ Are you able to sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center for any tenant?

3/ Do you know whether the charge might have been made through a third‑party store (such as Apple App Store or Google Play)?

4/ Have you received any billing or renewal emails from Microsoft related to this charge? If so, which email address received them? Look for emails from Microsoft or @microsoft.com with subjects related to: Microsoft 365, Copilot, Subscription confirmation, or Billing or receipt. Also check your Junk / Spam and Deleted Items folders, just in case the message was filtered.

Once we know which account type the charge is tied to, we can either cancel the subscription directly or guide you to Microsoft Billing Support to trace the charge by payment method if it’s not visible in self‑service.

Note: Please understand that as a forum moderator, my role is to provide general guidance and troubleshooting support. I don’t have access to internal systems or backend tools, and I appreciate your understanding of these limits.

The first response may not always resolve the issue right away, but with your help and more details, we can work toward a solution.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. I'm looking forward for your reply.

The most likely cause is that there is an additional Microsoft 365 subscription with recurring billing enabled on a different billing account or payment method than the nonprofit (complimentary) one.

To stop being billed for the unnecessary account and keep only the nonprofit subscription:

    1. Sign in to the correct Microsoft account that is being charged
      • Go to the Microsoft account dashboard and sign in with each email address that might be associated with a Microsoft 365 subscription (personal, work, or other addresses used in the past).
      • Under Services & subscriptions, look for any active Microsoft 365 subscription showing a monthly charge around $13.13.
    2. Investigate the specific charge
      • If a charge appears on a bank or card statement that is not recognized, go to the Manage your payments page of the Microsoft account dashboard and select Investigate next to the charge. This helps identify which subscription and account it belongs to and whether recurring billing is turned on.
    3. Cancel the unneeded subscription
      • Once the paid subscription that is not needed is identified, cancel it from the Services & subscriptions section so that future monthly charges stop.
      • If a refund is needed for a recent charge and eligibility criteria are met, follow the cancellation and refund steps described in the subscription’s support article.
    4. Ensure only the nonprofit (complimentary) subscription remains active
      • Confirm that the nonprofit Microsoft 365 subscription is active and that no other paid Microsoft 365 subscriptions remain with recurring billing enabled.

If a charge still cannot be matched to any subscription after using Manage your payments → Investigate, contact Microsoft support directly through the account dashboard so they can review the billing account and resolve any incorrect or duplicate charges.
