Hello Rahul Joshi,
Surface Hub 2S devices run a specialized operating system called Teams Rooms on Windows (TRoW), which is not the same as a standard Windows 11 Enterprise build. Even though the underlying OS kernel is based on Windows 11 Enterprise, the servicing and upgrade path is controlled by the Teams Rooms release cycle, not by the general Windows feature updates such as 24H2. In other words, you cannot directly upgrade a Surface Hub 2S from 22H2 to 24H2 using standard Windows Update or media installation. The device will only move forward when Microsoft publishes a new Teams Rooms OS release that incorporates the newer Windows base.
Regarding KB5066793 and the servicing end date of June 26, 2025: this applies to the general Windows 11 Enterprise 22H2 release. For Surface Hub 2S, Microsoft provides extended servicing through the Teams Rooms update channel. Even if the underlying OS version shows 22H2, the Hub continues to receive security and feature updates as long as it is enrolled in the Teams Rooms management service (MTR portal or Intune). The servicing lifecycle for Teams Rooms OS is distinct from the mainstream Windows lifecycle, so your Hub will not suddenly stop receiving security updates after that date. Instead, it will follow the cadence of Teams Rooms releases, which Microsoft maintains separately.
The practical implication is that you should not attempt to manually upgrade the Hub to 24H2. Doing so would break the supported configuration and likely remove the Teams Rooms experience. The correct path is to keep the Hub enrolled in the Microsoft Teams Rooms update channel and apply updates as they are released. Microsoft has already announced that future Teams Rooms OS builds will align with newer Windows 11 feature updates, but the rollout is staged and controlled centrally.
So to answer directly: there is no supported solution to upgrade a Surface Hub 2S to Windows 11 24H2 manually. The end of servicing for KB5066793 does not affect your Hub as long as it remains managed through the Teams Rooms portal, because Microsoft continues to deliver cumulative updates for the Hub OS beyond the general Windows servicing cutoff.
I hope you've found something useful here. If it helps you get more insight into the issue, it's appreciated to accept the answer. Should you have more questions, feel free to leave a message. Have a nice day!
