Two days ago, I started having a recurring message appear in my inbox and in the draft folder. Every time I delete it, it comes back. I reset my password, removed all unknown devices, checked for unknown sign-ins, checked for rules in Outlook, add-ins/extension on browser, and all other settings in Outlook to see where this might be coming from. Today, the same message (sextortion) is appearing/overwriting in older messages.

Thank you. Is it now solved? This would help a lot of other users toof if that is the case :)

Additionally, be sure to check the To-do app as well.

    Hi Gabriel,

The symptoms point that your account was hacked, and the hackers probably added your account to an organisation.

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com and sign in with your Microsoft account.
    2. Change the password
      • Select Security.
      • Click Password security.
      • Enter your current password.
      • Enter and confirm the new password.
      • Select Save
    3. Sign out everywhere
    • Open SecurityAdvanced security options.
    • Scroll to Sign me out.
    • Select Sign me out everywhere to end all active sessions on devices and browsers.
    1. Enable two-factor authentication (2FA)
      • Go to SecurityAdvanced security options.
      • Find Two-step verification.
      • Select Turn on.
      • Follow the prompts to add a verification method such as the **Microsoft Authenticator app, phone number, or email.
      • Complete the setup to activate two-step verification.

You can also try to leave the Guest account using Teams and see if that helps.

If you want to remove the Guest account, you can open the Teams App > Settings > Accounts and Orgs. Click the button to leave the organisation.
