The behavior matches a known Pearson VUE account block condition that surfaces as an “unexpected error” when scheduling Microsoft exams after issues with discount codes or payments.
This is not something that can be fixed in the Microsoft Learn or certification portal. The block must be removed by Pearson VUE support.
Action to take:
- Contact Pearson VUE support using the Pearson VUE link provided on the Microsoft Certification Support page: https://aka.ms/CertificationSupport.
- Explain that an unexpected error occurs when scheduling AB-730 after applying multiple Pearson VUE discount codes and that you can no longer reach the date-selection step.
- Ask them to check for and remove any account-wide block (often triggered by repeated failed or problematic payment/discount attempts).
- After Pearson VUE confirms the block is cleared, return to the exam scheduling flow and try again.
If the error persists even after Pearson VUE confirms no block, open a ticket with Microsoft Certification Support from the same support page so they can review the scheduling record on the Microsoft side.
