i want to remove 2 email addresses i have that i no longer wish to use or receive any emails on

If one of the addresses you want to remove is currently set as your primary alias, Microsoft requires you to choose another alias as primary first, and only then can you remove the old one.

Just to confirm so I can guide you more precisely, are those two addresses aliases on the same Microsoft account (multiple sign-in emails pointing to the same inbox), or are they two separates Outlook.com accounts?

To stop using two Outlook.com email addresses and stop receiving mail on them, remove them as aliases from the Microsoft account.

Follow these steps for each address to remove:

1. Go to Manage how you sign in to your account: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=842796 and sign in if prompted.
2. Under Account aliases or Account username, find the email address you no longer want to use.
3. Select Remove next to that alias.

Important details:

• If the address is from a Microsoft domain (for example, @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com, @msn.com) and is removed, that alias is permanently deleted and cannot be added to any Microsoft account again.
• If the address is currently the primary alias, first choose another alias and select Make primary for it. After that, remove the old primary alias.
• If the address is from a non-Microsoft domain (for example, @gmail.com), after removal it usually becomes available to be added as an alias on another Microsoft account.

After removal, those addresses will no longer receive mail into this Outlook.com/Microsoft account.
