I'm trying to block email from a sender.

In new Outlook 365, [Gear]"Settings" > "Mail" does not have a selection for "Junk Email".

Interesting. I just checked mine and I have it. This is New Outlook, not Outlook Classic, right ?

Can you tell me, what email address is this for though, could it be a non-Microsoft email account ?

In the new Outlook for Windows, the classic Settings > Mail > Junk email page from Outlook on the web is not exposed in the same way. To block a sender in the new Outlook 365 for Windows, use the message-level “Block” command instead of looking for a separate Junk Email settings page.

To block a sender directly from a message:

    1. In the message list, right‑click an email from the sender to block.
    2. Select Block (or Junk > Block Sender, depending on the build).
    3. Confirm the action if prompted.

After this, messages from that address are delivered straight to the Junk Email folder (or End‑User Quarantine if configured by an administrator). Junk mail is retained for 30 days before automatic deletion.

If using Outlook on the web instead of the new Outlook app, the Junk Email options are still under Settings > Mail > Junk email, where addresses and domains can be added to Blocked senders and domains.
