Microsoft Account Compromised – Unauthorized Rambler.ru Recovery Email Preventing Sign-In
I am contacting support using a different Microsoft account because my primary account appears to have been compromised. My Microsoft account uses my BigPond email address as the sign-in.
Recently I noticed that verification codes are being sent to an unfamiliar Rambler.ru address (shown as vl****@rambler.ru**)** that I did not add or authorize. Because of this, I am unable to authenticate or sign in to the account.
I have attempted to use the Microsoft account recovery form several times, providing accurate information about the account, but each attempt has been rejected almost immediately.
It appears that unauthorized security information has been added to the account, and the current recovery process is directing verification codes only to that Rambler.ru address.
I would appreciate assistance from the Microsoft Account Security team in reviewing the account, removing the unauthorized recovery email, and restoring my ability to access the account.
I still have access to the computer that normally uses this account and can provide any additional verification needed.
