    Dear @Rahul Prasad Rajasekar,

Thank you for reaching out and for sharing the screenshot.

Error code 0xA00F4293 (VideoCaptureStartTimeOut) usually indicates a problem accessing or initializing the camera on Windows 11 systems.

When you try to join a Teams meeting, Teams asks Windows to start your camera. In this case, Windows is unable to start the camera in time, so it returns a timeout error and Teams stops the join process. This can happen even if you plan to join with video turned off.

To help narrow this down, could you please confirm:

    1. Are you using Windows 10 or Windows 11?
    2. Is this a built‑in laptop camera or an external USB webcam?
    3. Does the camera work in the Windows Camera app?
    4. Does the same error happen in other apps (for example, Zoom or a browser webcam test)? Steps you can try on your Windows device

Step 1: Check camera and microphone permissions

    • Open Settings > Go to Privacy & security > Camera
    • Make sure:
    • Camera access is turned On
    • Let apps access your camera is turned On
    • Go to Privacy & security > Microphone and ensure access is also On

Step 2: Make sure no other app is using the camera

    • Close apps such as: Windows Camera, Zoom, Skype, OBS. Any browser tabs that may use the webcam

Restart your computer and try joining the Teams meeting again

Step 3: Test the camera outside Teams

Open the Camera app in Windows. If the camera does not start or shows an error, this confirms the issue is at the Windows/device level rather than Teams

Step 4: Check or reinstall the camera driver

    • Right‑click Start > open Device Manager
    • Expand Cameras
    • Right‑click your camera > Uninstall device
    • Restart your computer (Windows will automatically reinstall the driver)

Step 5: Try joining with camera disabled

As a temporary workaround: In the Teams join screen, turn Camera Off before clicking Join

This may allow you to enter the meeting while troubleshooting the camera issue
