I can't use Window Search on Taskbar

I can't use Window Search on Taskbar when I update this version (2026-03 Security Update (KB5079473) (26200.8037)). Please help me!

Can you try this:

Open Task Manager, go to Processes/details tab.

Locate SearchHost.exe and end it as a task.

Restart system, check if this resolves the issue.

Click Details Tab and end the task of explorer.exe

Then click Run New Task and type explorer.exe and hit enter

Windows Search on the taskbar can be reconfigured from Taskbar settings in Windows 11.

1. Right-click an empty area of the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
2. Under Taskbar items, locate Search.
3. Use the dropdown to select one of the visible options (for example, Search box, Search icon and label, or Search icon only) instead of Hide.
4. After enabling it, use one of these methods to test search:
   • Click the search box/icon on the taskbar and type a query.
   • Press Windows key + S and type a query.
   • Open Start and start typing to search.

If search still does not work after confirming it is enabled on the taskbar, install the latest cumulative updates for Windows 11, as newer updates often contain fixes for issues introduced by previous updates.

To check for newer updates:

1. Open Settings.
2. Go to Windows Update.
3. Select Check for updates and install all available updates, then restart the device.
