I have 1 Win 11 AIO and 1 Win 11 laptop with same outlook account. I have subscribed to Microsoft 365 annual subscription so I see 365 in AIO as also in my Win 11 laptop but my laptop came with Office 2024 but when I open Product info I see Office 365. I have signed out, restarted laptop and reinstalled Office 2024 still its showing Microsoft 365 on my laptop not activated 2024. I have removed Office 365 from laptop still it shows the same. I want to keep 365 on AIO and 2024 on laptop using same Microsoft account. Kindly help.

On a single Microsoft account, Microsoft 365 and Office 2024 can both be associated, but on a given device only one product family will actually be installed and activated. If Microsoft 365 was previously installed or is still associated with the installation on the laptop, Office apps will continue to show “Microsoft 365” in Product Information and may not activate as Office 2024.

To use Office 2024 on the laptop and Microsoft 365 on the AIO, follow this approach:

    1. Completely remove Microsoft 365 from the laptop
If Microsoft 365 (or a Microsoft 365 trial) is still present, Office 2024 may not install or activate correctly and can show as Microsoft 365 or give key/activation issues. Use the official uninstall troubleshooter:
      • Run the uninstall tool from the article “Can’t switch from Microsoft 365 to Office” (the Uninstall button at https://aka.ms/SaRA-officeUninstallFromPC).
      • Follow the prompts and restart the laptop when asked.
      • This tool removes Microsoft 365, Office 2021, Office 2019, or Office 2016 from the PC.
    2. Reinstall Office 2024 on the laptop
After the restart, install Office 2024 again using the steps in the “Download, install, or reinstall Microsoft 365 or Office 2024 on a PC or Mac” article. Make sure to:
      • Sign in with the same Microsoft account that was used to redeem the Office 2024 product key at microsoft365.com/setup or office.com/setup (as described in the product key section).
      • Complete the installation so that the local apps correspond to Office 2024.
    3. Confirm the correct license is applied
      • Open an Office app (for example, Word) on the laptop.
      • Go to File > Account and check Product Information. After the uninstall/reinstall, it should reflect the Office 2024 license rather than Microsoft 365.
    4. Keep Microsoft 365 active on the AIO
      • On the AIO, leave Microsoft 365 installed and activated with the same Microsoft account.
      • The account can hold both the Microsoft 365 subscription and the Office 2024 perpetual license; each device will use whichever product is installed and activated on that device.

If the uninstall troubleshooter does not fully remove Microsoft 365, use the “manually uninstall Office” steps referenced in the same article, then reinstall Office 2024 again.

Hi, I think maybe the problem is that the Family owner of the subscription has not stopped sharing with you so that it is still available for you to use and Microsoft will always use the best version of Office. Stop sharing a Microsoft 365 subscription
