Since the bank has already reversed or deleted the second (duplicate) payment, there is typically nothing further required from Microsoft for that specific charge, because the refund/adjustment was handled by the card issuer.
To ensure everything is correct on the Microsoft side and there are no remaining duplicate or future charges:
- Review Microsoft order history to confirm only one valid charge remains for the subscription period:
- Sign in and Review your order history.
- Verify there is only one successful charge for the relevant billing period.
- Check for other possible duplicate or related charges:
- If there are multiple subscriptions or accounts using the same card, go to Payment options and select Investigate to search for other accounts using the card. Go to payment options.
- If a duplicate Microsoft charge is still present (not reversed by the bank):
- For a duplicate charge for the same order, contact Microsoft Store Support with the Microsoft account and order number so the billing team can review and adjust as needed. Use the guidance under What if I have a duplicate charge for the same order? in the Microsoft Store article.
- If duplicate billing is tied to a subscription that is still active on more than one account or payment method, cancel or adjust the extra subscription(s) so future duplicates do not occur. If cancellation issues arise, see Unable to cancel your Microsoft subscription and verify the correct account and subscription end date.
If any remaining duplicate charge cannot be matched or resolved through order history or self-service, contact Microsoft Billing/Store Support directly so they can securely review the account and confirm that only one active subscription and one valid charge remain.
