So I am aware to not add my school account as an user on my home/personal computer, but my school said I can sign into the Microsoft store to use apps on that account, such as Microsoft word, excel, ect, but when I try to it says; User not found, although I can use the website and apps from the website just fine, but I need to use the apps from the app store, due to the fact when I download them with something other than what the file type is it will change how the doc, or ppxt looks (for example) and I can't check it after downloading the file in it's correct state because I don't have the apps to review how it looks, and they said that the web browser and app are different, so I would need to sign into my school computer and use those corresponding apps to get it formatted in the correct way.

No, you cannot sign into the school account in the app store.

If you need to use the Office apps, as long as your school account has proper license, this is how you install.

    Please go to https://www.office.com

Sign into your school account you. Click on Apps on the left.

Then on the upper right, click on "Install apps". This will now download the installer file. Once downloaded, click on the file to install. It will install the Desktop version of the apps for you then.

If you don't have the license, contact school IT, make sure they assign you the license.

    Hi,

the Microsoft Store uses your personal Microsoft Account (******@outlook.com or ******@hotmail.com) rather than your work or school account. The latter is used to sign into Microsoft 365 where you can download and install Microsoft Office. The installation adds OneDrive, your personal cloud storage. There is a Microsoft Store for Business but that is configured separately.

    Hope this helps.
