I am trying to open the authenticator there when I go there it asks for a number and then when I try to enter the number into the app it then opens up the screen with the same with another number It seems to be going around in circles [Moved from Microsoft 365 and Office | Other]

Hi Peter, try clearing the cache and your history from your browser.
Alternatively try opening a incognito session (Chrome) or private window (Edge & Brave), and see if the problem persists.

I have cleared the cache in fact cleared the data as well reinstalled and where it says about sending an email or text that never happens When I go to sign the authenticator app it keeps going around and around in circles I don't receive any text or emails as well So I think I might be best to give give Microsoft Australia a ring directly and ask speak to somebody about this directly.
