• Ensure that IMAP is enabled on Gmail Settings (https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/fwdandpop)
  

settings > Forwarding and POP/IMAP tab, and select Enable IMAP

• Update Outlook (if it's not updated)
• Log-out & resign again by adding the account
• Create new Outlook Profile
• Clear cache (%localappdata%\Microsoft\Outlook)
• checkout firewall if you set a security rule for IMAP.
