Where can I find the invoice for my purchase to download it?

I only see a payment order, but I need an invoice with my company details on it (tax code, VAT code, etc.).

Thank you

    Hi Mona,

So the Invoice is not in the link I provided? See the Tax Invoice button - it should be shown like this.

    Hi Mona,

The Invoice for your Microsoft 365 Personal subscription is at https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders

Look at the Invoice button beside the order.

If you redeemed a keycode, invoice would not provided I am afraid.

I hope this information helps. If you have any more questions, don't hesitate to reach out.

Otherwise, please take a moment to rate the answer. Wishing you good luck!

Hi, if you are using Microsoft 365 Personal or Family Microsoft does not provide a 'tax code, VAT code, etc' because you cannot use Microsoft 365 Personal/Family for business purposes and Personal and Family users cannot claim back TAX or VAT.

For Microsoft 365 for business purchases, the invoice with full company details (including tax codes) is obtained from the Microsoft 365 admin center and must have the tax information added before purchase confirmation.

    1. Ensure the tax ID was added before purchase:
      • In Italy: The Codice Fiscale/Tax ID must be added before the purchase is confirmed for it to appear on the invoice.
      • In Mexico: The RFC must be added during checkout (step “4. Payment and billing”) or in Billing > Billing accounts for future purchases. It cannot be added or modified on an invoice that has already been generated.
    2. Download the invoice:
      • Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center with an account that has billing admin permissions.
      • Go to Billing > Bills & payments.
      • Locate the relevant order/billing period and download the invoice from there.

If the invoice was generated without the correct tax details, those details cannot be retroactively added to that existing invoice; they will only appear on future invoices after being correctly configured in the billing information.

For Microsoft Store (consumer) purchases, invoices and tax breakdowns are downloaded from the Microsoft account order history:

    1. Go to the Order history page and sign in with the Microsoft account used for the purchase.
    2. Find the order and select Order detail.
    3. Select Tax invoice (available in regions where VAT is applied). Note that tax invoices may take from 48 hours up to 5 days after purchase to become available.

To print or save order details as a PDF:

    1. Sign in at account.microsoft.com/billing/orders.
    2. Select Payment & billing > Order history and refine by date/order.
    3. Select Order details for the relevant purchase.
    4. Use Print (or the browser’s print function) to print or save as PDF.

If the invoice still cannot be downloaded or does not show the required company details, contact Microsoft Support or create a support request from the admin center for assistance with billing documents.
