Problem trying to add Outlook account to phone email app

I'm in a sign-in feedback loop when trying to re-add my Outlook account to my email app on my LG G7. When it asks for my email provider, whichever option I select it asks for my email or phone number, which generates an authenticator request, which I successfully enter, then I get the 'Stay signed in?' screen and when I select 'Yes' it takes me back to the 'Select email provider' page again and the loop continues...
