My exam (az-900) did not start even after completion of test space, ID card, System check up successfully. Greeter joined the meeting and told me to rejoin the test by restarting the system. Once I restarted, I was not able to start the exam again.

Contact Pearson Vue support https://home.pearsonvue.com/microsoft/contact for issues when taking an exam

The exam session is controlled by Pearson VUE’s OnVUE system; once the secure browser session is ended or interrupted (for example, by restarting the computer), the original launch window usually closes and the exam cannot be relaunched directly by the candidate.

For this situation, use the official support channels so the exam delivery and eligibility can be reviewed and, if appropriate, a new appointment can be arranged:

    1. Contact Pearson VUE OnVUE support immediately after such an incident using the OnVUE support/live chat so they can check the interrupted session and advise on next steps. The OnVUE FAQs and guide are the primary troubleshooting resources before and during the exam.
    2. If the issue persists after the exam window or you can no longer launch the exam from Pearson VUE, contact Microsoft Credentials support so they can review the exam record on the Microsoft side and help with rescheduling or other remediation.
    3. For any future online exam attempts:
      • Run the required system test again on the same equipment and network before the exam.
      • Log on as an administrator, close background processes, and turn off browser pop-up blockers before launching the exam.
      • Start from the Microsoft Learn profile → Profile → Certifications → select the appointment → “Go to the exam” → follow Pearson VUE’s instructions and ensure the secure browser remains open once the exam is launched.
      • If the greeter or proctor asks for a restart again and the session fails to relaunch, contact Pearson OnVUE Support live chat within 30 minutes as recommended.

If the exam still does not appear or cannot be relaunched after following these steps, open a case with Microsoft Credentials support so they can investigate the specific AZ‑900 appointment and advise on rescheduling.
