My laptop broke, so im trying to log into the microsoft store on my brothers PC to play Minecraft. When i login it then asks for pass key, pin, fingerprint or face. I dont have either of these and to set up a pin it keeps asking for a pin that dosnt exist. The PC is on windows 10.

    Hello,

That's the PIN/Fingerprint/Facial recognition specific to your brother's computer. You need to ask your brother what the PIN is, and/or use his fingerprint or facial recognition, since it is his computer.

Or, see if you have the option to cancel it, use other sign in options, and use your own account's password instead.

On a different PC, Windows Hello options (PIN, fingerprint, face, passkey) are tied to that specific device and account. To sign in to Microsoft Store with an account that has no PIN/Hello set up on that PC, use the password sign-in path and, if needed, reset the password or set up a new PIN on that device.

Use these steps on the Windows 10 PC:

    1. On the sign-in prompt where it asks for PIN/Hello, look for Sign-in options.
    2. Choose the option to sign in with password instead of PIN/Hello.
    3. Enter the Microsoft account password.
    4. If the password is not known, reset it:
      • On the sign-in screen, select I forgot my password and follow the prompts, or
      • From another device, go to Reset password as described in the documentation.
    5. After successfully signing in with the password, optionally set up a PIN on this PC:
      • Open Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options (or use the Sign-in options shortcut).
      • Under PIN (Windows Hello) select Add or Change PIN and follow the instructions.

If Windows Hello keeps forcing a PIN that does not exist or fails repeatedly, sign in with the password first and then remove/recreate the PIN from Settings > Accounts > Sign-in options as described above.
