i can't open numerous .msg emails saved in file explorer. Error says i need a microsoft365 subscription but i have a 365 subscription

thanks. ACtually i just finished a chat with microsoft support. New outlook won't open certain email formats. He installed classic outlook, which opened all my emails properly!

Are you using the classic Outlook desktop program or the New Outlook app that has the small new badge on the icon?
Also if you right click one of those msg files and check the properties what program does it say is set to open them right now? This happens sometimes when Windows tries to force the wrong app as default but I want to make sure before having you change anything. Let me know what you see.
