re-installing office 2013 and am getting error code 1058-4 on my Windows 7 32-bit computer. For some reason the application removed itself from my computer.

Error 1058 usually indicates that a required Windows service is disabled or stopped. On Windows 7, verify and re-enable the affected service, then retry the Office 2013 installation.

Follow these steps on Windows 7:

    1. Click Start, search for Services, and click Services in the search results.
    2. In the list, locate the service that is failing (for Office installs this is often a core Windows service such as Windows Installer or a related dependency).
    3. Double-click the service.
    4. If Startup type is set to Disabled, change it to Automatic or Manual (anything other than Disabled).
    5. Click Apply.
    6. Click Start to start the service.
    7. Click OK.
    8. Run the Office 2013 setup again.

If the error persists, run a system file check to repair possible corrupted system files, then retry the install:

    1. Click Start > All Programs > Accessories.
    2. Right-click Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
    3. In the Command Prompt window, type:
         sfc /scannow

      and press Enter.
    4. When the scan completes, restart Windows and run the Office 2013 installation again.
