how do i get capitals automatically in the beginning of a sentence?

the automatically written capital which was no problem with hotmail is only available on my phone. outlook on my phone. why is that?

Automatic capitalization in Outlook depends on where email is being composed.

On Outlook.com / Outlook on the web (in a browser on a laptop/PC):

1. Start a new message or reply so the compose window is open.
2. On the toolbar above the message, select Message.
3. At the far right, select Editor > Editor Settings.
4. Turn Enable Auto Capitalization on.

This setting controls whether Outlook on the web automatically capitalizes what it detects as the start of a sentence. It is separate from the keyboard autocap feature on a phone, which is why automatic capitals may work on the mobile app (using the phone’s keyboard settings) but not in Outlook.com on a laptop until this Editor option is enabled.

If using the new Outlook experience in a browser, the same Editor Settings toggle for auto capitalization is available from Editor on the ribbon while composing a message.
