Other features or issues related to Microsoft Partner Center
Because the global admin email for the Partner Center tenant is forgotten, the account and associated MPN ID cannot be managed directly. To restore access so the MPN ID can be used again, follow the supported account‑recovery paths for admins:
- If there is another global admin in the organization’s tenant, ask them to reset the password or update the sign‑in details for the admin account associated with Partner Center. They can do this from the Microsoft 365/Azure admin portals as described in the Partner Center guidance.
- If you are the only global admin on the account, contact the Azure Data Protection team by phone to regain access:
- Call the Azure Data Protection team at
+1 866-807-5850(or the appropriate regional support number if different) and explain that you are the only global admin and cannot sign in.
- Call the Azure Data Protection team at
- If your company does not have a global admin (for example, the previous admin left and no one else has admin rights):
- If already part of the company’s tenant, find the support phone number for your region at Get support - Microsoft 365 admin and ask to be transferred to the Microsoft 365 Data Protection team to have the password reset or to be granted the global admin role.
- If not part of the tenant, ask a colleague who is in the tenant to contact the Microsoft 365 Data Protection team and request that you be granted the global admin role or have the password reset.
- If you are a Microsoft AI Cloud Partner Program partner and not the global admin, contact your organization’s global admin and ask them to reset your password or create a new password for the account used in Partner Center.
- If you are a CSP Indirect reseller and cannot sign in, contact your Indirect provider and ask them to create a new global admin on your Microsoft Entra tenant or reset your password using their granular delegated admin privileges.
Once access to the tenant’s global admin account is restored via one of these methods, sign in to Partner Center again and the associated MPN ID will be valid and manageable.
