A cloud-based identity and access management service for securing user authentication and resource access
Hello MARCELO MANOEL DE GODOY
Microsoft has started rolling out a new default Azure portal Home experience that is Copilot‑ and agent‑centric, especially for:
- New Azure tenants
- Newly created free subscriptions
- Microsoft Account (MSA)–based sign‑ins
This experience is enabled at the tenant level by Microsoft and is not controlled by user settings.
For tenants where this experience is already the default:
- The “Preview features” toggle is not exposed
- The classic Home page cannot be restored
- This is not a bug, limitation, or subscription issue
Microsoft documents that access to Copilot and agent experiences is rolled out automatically and gradually, and not all tenants receive opt‑out controls.

Important Clarifications:
- Azure Copilot is not mandatory to use
- There is no extra cost for Copilot
- All Azure services remain fully available
- This does not affect AZ‑900 learning or labs
- Only the Home page layout has changed
Microsoft explicitly states that Copilot and agents are embedded into the Azure portal experience, not provided as a separate optional UI.
There is no supported method to revert the Home page.
However, users can bypass the Home experience entirely by:
- Using the global search bar (“Search resources, services, and docs”)
- Opening All services directly:
https://portal.azure.com/#view/HubsExtension/BrowseAll- Navigating directly to service blades (Virtual machines, Storage accounts, VNets, etc.)
This is the recommended and supported approach.
