You ask if the issue was resolved and I said NO! Then you ask what my experience was, but when you hit submit the bot tells you are not authorized to respond to the question due to a " Please Fix the Following Issue to Continue: You are not authorized to make this response. If you believe this to be in error, please refresh the page and try again." Refreshing the page does absolutely nothing!!! So annoyed with the fake assistance today!

The error message about not being authorized to respond is a known issue that can occur on Microsoft Q&A and is unrelated to Outlook itself.

To work around this and still get help:

    1. Try posting from a different tag/category:
      • Go to the Microsoft Q&A site and start your question using the Community Center/Discuss the Q&A site tag instead of the Outlook tag.
      • Describe that you are unable to reply to an existing thread because of the “You are not authorized to make this response” error and that refreshing does not help.
      • A moderator can then move your post to the correct product tag and investigate the authorization problem.
    2. If the problem happens when posting a new question (not just replying):
      • Sign out of your Microsoft Learn profile and sign back in.
      • Try again to post the question, starting from the main Q&A page and selecting the tag during creation.
    3. If the account appears blocked or banned:
      • This can sometimes happen due to automatic spam detection.
      • Use another account temporarily to post in the Community Center/Discuss the Q&A site tag and clearly state which account is affected so moderators can review and unsuspend it if it was flagged incorrectly.

If the goal is to give feedback on the Q&A platform itself (for example, about this error or about the AI responses), submit it as a new question in the Community Center tag, following the “Feedback on Microsoft Q&A” guidance (title it as an Issue or Suggestion and describe the problem and steps to reproduce).
