Hi, I encountered technical issues when taking an MS test and have contacted Pearson VUE. They said I have duplicated profiles, which I feel so confused. My account email, which I used for MS Learn and tests, is ******@qq.com, but I have no idea about the second account. My full name is Yuanyuan Lu. Could you help recognise it and merge them?

But I don't know anything about the second account and Pearson cannot find it because I don't have any registration ID or something like that.

Microsoft accounts and MCIDs cannot be directly merged by users, but Learn profiles and their associated certification data can often be consolidated.

Based on the situation (duplicate profiles found, confusion about a second account), the supported path is:

    1. Confirm the correct Learn profile
      • Sign in to the Learn profile that is intended to be the primary one (the one normally used for learning and future exams).
      • Verify the login account and profile details as described in the Learn profile FAQ and settings pages.
    2. Check for multiple Learn profiles
      • If there is more than one Learn profile under different login accounts (for example, one created via Pearson VUE using a different Microsoft or work/school account), the profiles can often be merged.
      • A profile merge is allowed as long as only one of the profiles contains a personal Microsoft login account.
    3. Merge Learn profiles (if applicable)
      • Sign in to the Learn profile chosen as the main one.
      • Go to Settings → Account Management → Add login account.
      • Add the other login account that Pearson VUE associated with the second profile.
      • If that login account is already associated with another Learn profile, this will trigger a profile merge. All learning progress, credentials, and transcripts from the second profile will be merged into the signed‑in profile, and duplicates will be removed. This merge cannot be undone.
    4. Use a work/school profile as a bridge (if needed)
      • If certifications are split between two personal profiles, the documented workaround is to:
        1. Sign in to a work/school Learn profile (Profile B) and add the personal profile that currently holds some certifications (Profile A). Wait for the green confirmation banner that the merge completed.
        2. Remove Profile A’s login from Profile B (Settings → Login account Management → Linked accounts → Remove). The transferred content remains.
        3. Sign in to the preferred final Learn profile (Profile C) and add Profile B. This transfers the certifications and training progress from B into C.
        4. Optionally remove the work/school login if no longer needed.
      • This “bridge” method only works if there is access to a work/school Learn profile; otherwise, the transfer cannot be completed and the profile containing the certifications should be used for future exams.
    5. If certifications are missing or the second account cannot be identified
      • If expected exams or certifications are not visible after signing in with all possible accounts, follow the documented guidance for Missing Exams or Certifications and contact Microsoft Credentials Support using the official support channel. That team can review certification records and help align them with the correct Learn profile.
    6. Pearson VUE involvement
      • Since Pearson VUE has already identified duplicate profiles, continue working with them for test-delivery–side issues (such as which ID or email was used at registration). For aligning certifications and MCID history into a single Learn profile, use the Learn profile merge and Microsoft Credentials Support process described above.
