Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi, I'm John! I will help you with this.
First, please check your subscription here: https://account.microsoft.com/services Sign in with the Microsoft account that has the subscription. You should see your current Microsoft 365 plan and its expiration date.
From there, you can:
Turn off recurring billing, and when the current subscription expires, subscribe to Microsoft 365 Basic instead.
In most cases, Microsoft does not allow direct downgrades while the subscription is active. The usual way is to let the current plan expire, then choose the cheaper plan.
Just so you know, Microsoft 365 Basic usually includes:
- 100 GB of OneDrive cloud storage
- Ad-free Outlook email
- Advanced security for Outlook and OneDrive
- It does not include the desktop Office apps like Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. Those are included in plans like Microsoft 365 Personal or Family.
