How to fix microsoft office like microsoft word and microsoft excel cause the program is an error

i was try to open microsoft excel but can not open because the program is an error and i click the button to repair now but till now like after one hour is not ready to use the microsoft.

Since the repair didn't work, I recommend reinstalling the Office app by following the steps below:

Press the Windows key + R, then type in:

Then hit OK

 

Look for the Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365 app > Right-click, then select Uninstall

Use an Online Repair of Office instead of the built‑in “Repair now” button, which only runs a Quick Repair and often does not fix this type of problem.

Follow these steps on Windows:

1. Close all Office apps (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
2. Open Settings.
3. Go to Apps → Installed apps (or Apps & Features on some versions).
4. Find Microsoft 365 or Microsoft Office in the list.
5. Select it, then choose Modify.
6. Select Online Repair, then confirm.
   • This will fully repair/reinstall Office and replace corrupted components.
   • It can take 15–30 minutes; do not cancel even if it seems slow.
7. When the repair finishes, restart the PC.
8. After restart, open Excel and Word again and check they start normally.

If Online Repair still does not fix the error, completely uninstall Office from Apps / Programs and Features, restart the PC, then reinstall Office from the Microsoft account page used for the subscription.
