Further if " azure-noreply@microsoft.com " IS NOT AN ACTUAL MSFT return address, then

WHY DOES MICROSOFT NOT CATCH THIS AS A PHISHING ATTEMPT!

EXPLAIN TO US, THE PEOPLE, YOUR ONGOING UNWILLINGNESS TO PROVIDE EITHER SECURITY OR

PROPER INFORMATION!

Microsoft is an opaque, irresponsible, unresponsive Moloch, a company that does not give a

flying Venmo about anyone.

Why do you think I am telling you that?

Because you do not care!

I tried to research the phone number, and it turns out that numbers with the prefix 1-805-316-xxxx are often scamming, phishing numbers. The fact that the email "sort of looks legit" does no longer mean that the content is legit.

I copied a portion of the content (within a sandbox) , without opening the info itself, and it looks like there is really a whole lot of encrypted stuff in there that would not be needed, if it were a legit message from MSFT. I felt like some encrypted spyware.

Then I asked an AI thing (not Co-Pilot) to answer this question: How much does Azure cost?

The answer was vague, but in some cases with Virtual Machines, which I don't use, it was $62.40 per month, so about $748.80 per year. From that I could tell, that Microsoft 365 Family version has nothing to do with AZURE, because I would never ever pay Microsoft that much. Microsoft is too rich for its own good.

I did not click on anything in that email, and I did not sign in to my Microsoft Account from within that email.

My actual Microsoft Account did not contain any additional charge.

From this I could tell that it was a fake phishing email. These trick-thieves are getting trickier all the time. Of course, it was not possible to reach Microsoft, because none of their customer service seems to provide real service. Chatbots rarely know even 2% of what they ought to know.
